Ceiling collapse during wedding party in Pistoia: dozens injured

During a wedding party at the former convent of Giaccherino in Pistoia, a ceiling collapsed, causing dozens of injuries. At the moment, the toll is still provisional, but rescuers have reported 5 critically injured (red code), 10 moderately injured (yellow code), and 40 with minor injuries (green code). Hospitals in Florence, Prato, Pescia, and Lucca have been alerted to provide medical assistance.

Firefighter teams have intervened on the outskirts of Pistoia, in the locality of Pontelungo, to manage the situation after the ceiling collapse in the building that had been used as a party venue. Currently, 30 injured have been reported, including 5 in serious condition. Two people have been transported to the hospital in Pistoia, two to Careggi Hospital in Florence, and one to Prato. Five moderately injured individuals have been transported to Prato, Pistoia, Torregalli, and Lucca.
